Horizon NXT IV Pump
BB610-012R1
Horizon NXT IV Pump
EA
$1236.00/EA
Intended for use with B. Braun McGaw Horizon IV sets to regulate the flow of primary and secondary fluids when positive pressure is required. The infusion system is capable of delivering fluid from a negative head height (when the IV fluid container is lower than the pump), and provides clinically accepted volumetric accuracy for all standard IV fluids, including blood, lipids and TPN. Positive pressure is frequently a necessity but clinical experience shows that high pressure limits can increase the severity of an infiltration without causing an alarm. Because there is a need to control pump pressure settings, it has user-selectable occlusion pressure limit settings which start at 75 mmHg and extend to 500 mmHg. At rates of 400 ml/hr and higher, the pressure setting is automatically increased to 400 mmHg. For epidural infusions which require higher pressures, the pump has an extended occlusion pressure setting of 750 mmHg. Because some infusions require multiple flow rates during the delivery cycle, this is equipped with two automatic multiple delivery rate modes. The Profile Delivery mode incorporates a standard ramped delivery regimen, and the Programmable Delivery mode can be set up to sequentially deliver up to nine user-selected volumes of fluid each at a user-selected rate. Both modes are designed for ease of use and can be adapted to home-care settings. Incorporates a Dose/Rate mode which automatically calculates the rate when dose information is entered, or the dose when rate information is entered. The pump is equipped with distinct audible and visual alarm signals to indicate KVO, low battery, and actual alarm conditions. Can be used for epidural administration of anesthetic and analgesic drugs. Caution: Whenever the pump is being used for epidural infusions, the pump's secondary infusion features should not be used.

1 Year Warranty. Designed to meet the fluid and drug delivery requirements of today's changing clinical environment. It provides accurate, continuous or intermittent infusion of intravenous solutions, drug solutions, whole blood, and packed red blood cells. The pump is indicated for infusion via intravenous (IV), intra-arterial (IA), epidural, or subcutaneous routes of administration. It can be piggybacked into an ongoing infusion line to deliver secondary solutions automatically, precisely, and economically. Infusion rates are programmable from 0.01 to 438 Ml/hr. The pump accepts standard disposable syringes from 1 Ml to 60 Ml in size. A numeric keypad simplifies programming and makes the pump easy to use. During programming, the status display prompts the user to enter data about the syringe and the infusion. While the pump is running, the status display shows information about the infusion. Safety and effectiveness are reinforced by pre-programmable bolus operation, titration of a dose without interruption of fluid flow, and easily understood alarm and alert messages. Includes an optional serial communication feature, which provides remote computer control and monitoring capabilities. A standard 9-pin connector allows an RS-232 communication link between the pump and the host computer.

A microprocessor controlled, pole mounted, standalone, electromechanical infusion pump that allows patient to self administer analgesic using a patient pendant, within physician prescribed, programmed parameters. A stepper motor exerts pressure on an inserted drug vial to control the infusion of analgesic into a patient. The infuser is powered from an AC power source and has an internal battery to maintain operation for short periods when an AC power source is not available. The infuser will accept a pre-filled drug vial manufactured by Hospira, and includes one sterile empty vial that can be filled by a hospital s pharmacy.

1 Year Warranty. A syringe infusion device that will aid in the administration of many intravenous agents given during anesthetic procedures. In conjunction with the Smart Label System, it provides for the convenient delivery of narcotics, muscle relaxants, vasoactives and other drugs routinely given during anesthesia. The Smart Label System is a set of drug specific labels that attach to the front of the pump. Each Smart Label converts the pump into a specific delivery system for the indicated drug with appropriate rate selections and delivery units. By simply changing the specially coded Smart Label, the pump is automatically changed to a specific delivery system for a particular intravenous agent.
